about

The second single. This one takes a much more 'In looking out' approach which focuses on the natural rhythm of things, really focusing on the things around you and for all intents and purposes, slowing down. It was the second song written after moving to Manchester and represents a change in style and approach as well as being a product of collaboration with friends made on the Manchester open mic scene.

lyrics

Surrender yourself to a gentle formation.
Relax, remember to breathe.
This one was made above a body of water.
White and translucent, it moves, it moves.

Gathering now, it’s coming right for us,
soon overhead, shimmering, weightless.
That one was made from the back of a jet engine,
Hand under head, feet cross legged.

The longer we stay, the more we see,
Our eyes adjust, to the light that is already there.

Filling a lake with a rain cloud,
Heaviest lead, it makes no sound
Drop by drop
Day By day...

Or a carpet of sand made of cliff face,
whipped by the wind and the rains pace,
blow by blow,
day bye day.

We will continue…

If we evaporate, the cycle continues,
come straight back down, in a shower, a deluge.
Soaking the grass, like none of it matters,
this one was made for taking some time too.

The longer we stay, the more we see,
Our eyes adjust, to the light that is already there…

Filling a lake with a rain cloud,
Heaviest lead, it makes no sound
Drop by drop
Day By day;

or a carpet of sand made of cliff face,
whipped by the wind and the rains pace,
blow by blow,
day bye day.

We will continue…
